Langra Mango – The Pride of North India
Share
Few mangoes carry as much nostalgia and pride as the Langra. Its name is as unique as its flavour — tangy, creamy, and unmistakably Indian.
Legend has it that the first Langra tree grew in Varanasi centuries ago, tended by a farmer with a limp (“langra” in Hindi) — and the name simply stayed.
Langra mangoes are easily recognizable: greenish skin even when ripe, smooth texture, and a balance of sweet and tart that lingers long after the last bite.
At ASD Orchards, Langra holds a special place. It’s among our most awaited harvests — usually ready by June to mid-July, when the orchards fill with its distinct aroma.
We allow Langra mangoes to ripen naturally in husk bedding, never with chemicals or forced methods. The result? That signature taste you can’t replicate — sharp, fragrant, and refreshing.
Langra is perfect for those who like their mangoes with a punch of flavour rather than just sweetness. Eat it chilled, blend into shakes, or just enjoy it straight from the box.
