Jackfruit (Kathal) – Raw or Ripe, Naturally Harvested

We grow jackfruit on large native trees that require no chemical support. Both ripe and raw forms are available — raw jackfruit for cooking, ripe for eating sweet.

Appearance: Large, spiky green exterior; yellow or white flesh
Smell: Strong, fruity and distinctive
Taste:

• Raw: Neutral to mildly sweet — like a soft vegetable

• Ripe: Super sweet and fragrant with a banana-pineapple flavor
  Best for:

• Raw: Curries, stir-fries, vegan dishes

• Ripe: Eating raw, desserts, dried snacks

Jackfruit is a great source of fiber, potassium, and plant-based protein.
